Why go to the coffee shop for everyone's favorite pink drink when a trip to your local brewery gives you an alcoholic version for a surefire way to usher in warm weather and a quench of the thirst.
Pouring a milky and pastel pink, the hazy ale certainly looks the part even as it elevates with a fluffy white foam. As the bubbles fall still, the nose is caught with the tantalizing scent of citrus, white wine, cider and berry. As a scantly laces sweetness skirts the tongue, hints of fruit juices come with light cereal and a lightly candied taste.
While anything sweet is short on the middle palate, the tartness ushers in a brisk and refreshing taste laced with pink grapefruit, lime and lemon. While hints of gooseberry, kiwi, passionfruit and yuzu add to the sourness, Red berry adds a unique curiosity of succulence as the session continues to wash the late palate with a light and peppery acidity.
Light, crisp and refreshing, even hints of vanilla help to soothe the senses as the session comes to a quick, clean and concise finish.
