Never ones to shy away from challenges, Mirror Twin and Turner Labels embrace a new hop profile that doesn't even have a name. HS01666 gives this curious tandem a hand at experimental taste.
Pale and turbid gold, Mirrored Fortunes floats a creamy cotton froth and a bold aromatic character of tropical fruit, citrus, herb and berry before a sweeter grain-focused taste sets in. Cereal, honey and shortcake set and early tone.
As the malts flow across the tastebuds, the middle palate awakens to the hops and their bold focus on mango, passionfruit, kiwi and papaya, and with its citrusy backdrop of orange and lemon. As an herbal overcast brings in a smoothly bitter finish, flavors of lemon verbena, black tea, hemp and damp sod all lead to a sprucy and basswood bitterness.
Full bodied, creamy and smooth, the imperial hazy IPA finishes on the sweeter side of bittersweet and also on the malty end of malty-dry balance- a great way to explore new hop flavor.
