There is a thing in the beer world called the "lawn mower beer." It's a beer you might drink on a dog day afternoon while putzing about in the yard. Lawn mower beers are poundable brews that won't fill you up, weigh you down or knock you out with a sedative alcohol punch. This session IPA is YOUR Lawnmower beer! Low abv, light, and crushable... but with some flavor. Citra and cascade hops accentuate the crispiness of the session beer. Come pound some on our patio or take a 4 pack home and put the stripes in your yard. The choice is yours!

Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours pale yellow with a slight haze to it. It is topped with an inch of beige head that leaves spotty lacing.

Catty and dank. Very nice for a session IPA.

Dank for a session IPA. Citrus notes.

Thin bodied with a watery mouthfeel

Pretty tasty for a session IPA. I am not a big fan of the style, but I like this one.

Crushing beers while crushing chores, Mirror Twin is helping us with both by rolling out a session IPA that's fit for summer.

Golden-straw and cast in a light haze, Your Ass Is Grass bubbles briskly while building an appetizing white cap. As the froth falls, the nose is filled with herbal, citrusy and yes, grassy hops. With a tepid grain sweetness, the malt profile is lightly honey-like with a dash of powdered sugar that evaporates from the tongue quickly.

As the middle palate ensues, the bright and green taste of hops bring the suggestions of lemon peel, orange peel and white grapefruit. Trending quickly bitter and dry, the flavors shift from fruit to herb with a bright, green and pleasantly grassy taste that frames a spruce tip bitterness to close out the session fast.

Light, crisp and refreshing, the slightly off-clean IPA shows a slight grain harshness and a leafy, stemmy hop character that carries a mild astringency, easily disguised by the hop bitterness in an otherwise crushable ale. Now... time to mow the lawn!
