Served on tap at the brewery in a goblet.
Look: Black, with no real head but a brown foam ring that lingered well; sufficient lacing.
Nose: Boubon, dark roast, with a bit of cooked brown sugar.
Attack: Oh, my! What all is in this? Certainly the bourbon, the dark roast, the bit of brown sugar, but also dark chocolate, a hint of coffee. Very nice.
Finish: Bitterness from the roast, and the alcohol warms all the way down.
Mouthfeel: Thick, smooth, and creamy.
Overall: I can’t not give this a 4.5. So very full and well balanced. I only mean this as a huge compliment to write that this fine brew compares rather nicely to some of the Founders BA stouts. Nice work, Mirror Twin and Ethereal!
