Understanding that adults have sweet teeth too, Mirror Twin harks back to childhood memories of push pops and creamsicle when devising a sweeter and fruitier IPA.
Coming in with heavy cloud of gold and straw, Soft Serve Psychosis floats a creamy white cool-whip froth and a tantalizing scent of citrus, cream, cereal and candied fruit. And that candied sweetness carries over to taste with a french vanilla, pulled candy and heavy cream maltiness built on cereal and whole wheat smoothness. Rising hops accompany the generous orange additions with their own tropical, citrusy and herbal balance redolent of citrus peel, herbal tea and peppery balsa woods.
Full bodied, creamy and balanced toward the sweetness, this smoothie IPA seduces the tastebuds with ease while proving challenging for drinkability. It's tasty but not a repeat beer for most as its sweetness brings on quick palate fatigue.
