Allergy season is in full swing and so are grandma's endless remedies. Mirror Twin offer's up their own hot toddy of a hoppy beer that might just do the trick.
Heavily cloudy and looking like pasty golden-orange, Zip Zap Zing carries a creamy meringue into an herbal, fragrant, citrusy scent. Flavors take on a creamy taste with poundcake, cereal and coconut cream. Ginger is the leading flavor as the fragrant herb to overtake much of the hop's nuanced citrus, tropical and stone fruit. Lemon counters for a balance to seem almost dessert-like from the malt's lingering sweetness. Smooth and low on bitterness, the balance comes with a nearly soft drink demeanor and a malty-sweet finish.
Full bodied, plush on the palate, and limited in refreshment, a drier beer might offer better reprieve.
