Hazy dark amber color with beige head. Aroma is really malty with intense burnt sugar notes and toasted bread. Taste follows with the burnt sugar and toasted grains. Not really sweet, just tastes like sugar but without the associated sweetness. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it's a really balanced beer with nice caramelized sugar notes and a quite smooth mouthfeel.

From estucerveza. In Bavaria glass. After dinner. Very subtle smokyness, some caramel and a good dose of noble hops to compensate. Very drinkable and for all palates. Avg 4.09.

4 Nov 2016. From estucerveza. In Teku glass. Shared with Carlos. Very sessionable, with the smokyness very light and a pleasant sweetness

From the bottle, it pours a hazy amber with a really sweet fluffy head. Lacing. Some bready malts in the nose. Mild flavor in the mouth. Enjoyable!

Quite similar to the other Leikem's Kellerbier, this one has a nice hazy orange color and a cream-color foam, somewhat dense with some big bubbles.
Smell is strong, with a yeasty and a cereal character. Taste is kind of neutral in this one (the other Leikem's Kellerbier is tastier), malty and grainy notes are stronger than the cereal ones.
Feel is nice again, with a pleasant bitter end. It's possible to feel better the alcohol in this one.
Well, this beer is nice, but I still prefer the other Leikem's Kellerbier.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high bright white head that died down, leaving patches of bubbles on the surface and a collar consisting of large bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of bready malts and dough-like yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and is rather malty with faint bits of sweetness, notes of toasted malts, and slight hints of apple esters. No bitterness is noticeable.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: While the taste of this beer is rather malty, it isn't that difficult to drink because the lighter-bodied nature and carbonation seems to lighten things up.

Poured into...well a stein a murly tea color with a thin minimal head, alot of chunkines and floaties around.Sweet doughy aromas with mild toast, faint lemon is detected as well.A fuller mellow feel is nice making it go down easily.Sweetish on the palate with caramel/dough flavors with slight drying and peppery hop in the finish. Not bad but it's not up there with the better traditional kellerbiers out there.

Surprisingly cloudy. Caramel and a touch of apricot in the aroma along with some we cardboard. Caramel taste with a little toffee in the dry finish. Dry. Very easy drinking in part due to light carbonation. No head when poured, beer goes almost flat about half way through drinking this one. Not horrible, not that good, probably just old and poorly kept.

Appearance: Cloudy, orangish, small head

Aroma: Malty, slightly smoky, citrusy (orangy ?)

Taste: Refreshing; carbonated moutfheel; a little dry, bitter aftertaste; but overall quite good.

Remarks: Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

(found this bottle at Belmont Station, Portland, Apr 2013)

A: hazy, orange-amber.... some sediment made it in, flakes, specks, floaters - probably not responsible for the haze though.... a lot of quick-dying open foam, little-to-no collar left... looks a mess overall

S: typical German old, oxidized(?) caramel-malt aromas, some bread crust as well... perhaps the slightest touch of (apple-) juicy fruit? floral?... increasing presence of lightly-souring bread dough scents and a little alcohol

T: nothing unique... dull-ish bit of yeasty bite in the finish... brief toasty flash... seemingly pleasant caramel malt flavor but a strange (yeasty?) bitter-tang takes over, obfuscates the malt.... bit of a plant-material (leaf and stem and twig) quality in the aftertaste

M: fairly smooth up front... medium-bodied but with a watery membrane taking it through.... tiny hint of astringency late, almost chalky wash

O: man, some of these super-malt-forward are pretty shit-bland... I wonder how old and/or well-cared for this bottle was (no dates on the labels)
