Don’t know if maybe they boosted the ABV in 2022, because the can I have shows 14%. Pours dark, light head, no lacing, and a healthy amount of what looks like cinnamon particulates on the glass. Smell presents strong cinnamon and whiskey notes, mild roasted malt and a slight vanilla. Taste is sweet with strong notes of vanilla, cinnamon spice, and whiskey barrel. Big bodied, a slightly oily finish, and a definite booze bomb. I like this.

16 ounce can into a snifter. A 2022 release, batch 2, had 9/4/22.
Pours a dark cola color, opaque, with no head or lacing. It kind of glows, but maybe my contacts need cleaning. Aromas of cinnamon whiskey, vanilla, cinnamon, malt, some chocolate and brown sugar. Flavors of vanilla, cinnamon whiskey, malt, chocolate, cinnamon. Smooth, a good fuller body that feels a touch light, appropriately carbonated.
The cinnamon whiskey barrels are very good and the horchata spices don’t overwhelm. Could have a little bit of a heartier feel, but really enjoyable overall.

Had on tap. Midnight black body, frothy brown cap, slushy lacing. Cinnamon and vanilla meet the toasty barrel, bourbon and molasses fit in so well with the horchata flavoring. Taste is a clone, horchata really comes through without overpowering the barrel, vanilla and chocolate malt. Feel is moderately warm, smooth, with decent spices but does thin out a little on the finish

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a thin, fizzy, dark khaki head that dissipates quickly to patches with slight lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. Flavor is semi-sweet dark toasted malt, cinnamon, vanilla and dark chocolate; lightly to moderately sweet. Lingering cinnamon and vanilla finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess and sharp carbonation. The aroma of this stout prepared me for a quite sweet pastry-like stout, but the flavor actually has a well moderated sweetness. This definitely has horchata flavors with sturdy vanilla and expected cinnamon, but also has an unexpected chocolatey. Chocolate horchata exists, but I've only had the standard vanilla variety, which I like quite a bit with Mexican food. If I saw an urn of chocolate horchata, this is pretty much what I'd expect it to taste like, and it's a nice flavor. Not too sweet, interesting hybrid between Mexican chocolate and horchata; I'm sold. The fizzy evaporation of the head was the only flaw. Nicely done.

Look - great black syrup with a nice tan head
Smell - smells like boozy Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Has that creamy smell like it’s in the milk too
Taste - just like the smell, boozy Cinnamon Toast Crunch!
Feel - full body creamy and light carb. Could be thicker though
Overall - really incredible!
