The base beer, Demogorgon, was much beloved (by me) 4 ½ years ago when I sampled it. Add in apple brandy, other good stuff, jam it into a 16 oz. can? Yes.
Black. Like the base, little carbonation visible to the nekkid eye. Aroma is big, sweet malt with a touch of fruitiness. Hopefully the flowering is coming in the taste.
Demogorgon – Coconut Caramel Apple Brandy Barrel Aged is a riotous beast of aggressive tastes – how can the nose be so tame? The great thing is they all sing in perfect harmony, Depeche-style. Sweetness from the malt & honey, mild apple brandy, coconut is strongest, caramel slides right up the scale to the finish. Sweetness peaks as the beer warms. Drying wood, heavy, & though I stay up until midnight, I’m going to polish this sucker off.
Very different from the base beer but just as tasty. Excellent beer.

16 ounce can into a snifter. B2, a 2022 release. Had 2/3/23.
Pours a dark brown, opaque, with no head and a little soapy cling. Aromas of apple brandy, coconut, malt, caramel, vanilla, some chocolate and oak. Similar flavors: apple brandy, caramel, coconut as it warms, malt, vanilla, chocolate, light oak. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
This is really good. Loads of caramel, almost as much coconut, strong barrels. Pretty delicious.
