On tap at Beer O'Clock. Thanks, John!
A rather clear deep blue-red with a lightly pinkish head, this beer looks solid. The nose is prominently sour and lactic with a strong blueberry character and a deep, mildly earthy and mineral-y sauvignon blanc character. Moderately tannic, calling to mind pomace, the grape character is interesting. Moderately salty as well. The palate opens with a bright and refreshing sourness, with the lactic and blueberry notes pairing nicely. The grape character is present on the mid-palate, more earthy and plum like than I was expecting - the lighter stone fruit notes seem to be whelmed by the blueberry and lactic sourness. Drying, sour and mildly salty on the finish, this beer does feel a little disjointed on the palate. All told, though, this beer is solid.
