16oz can

Pours two fingers of white head into my Willi. Retention is above average. Lacing is very nice. Body is golden yellow, crystal clear, with a moderate amount of bubbles coming up. Looks pretty good.

Nose is very floral, with a rice sweetness and maybe just a touch of spice. Smells really nice.

Flavor certainly has plenty of rice, a little grainy. Maybe slightly floral, but not much. Flavor is good, and it smooths out over time, but doesn’t quite deliver like the nose did.

Carbonation is somewhat high. Light bodied. Bitterness is medium-low. Drinks very crisp and clean, finishes with a slight lingering sweetness. Overall a lovely mouthfeel.

Drinkability is great.

Overall it’s a really tasty beer with a great supporting cast. Graininess is a little odd, but doesn’t impact things too much.

16 oz. can from Lifesource Natural Grocers.
$3.79
Pours the typical Japanese Lager..corn oil yellow colour, with a nicer head..big frothy and bubbly, off white colour.
Typical macro lager aroma..paper, creamed corn and some honey.
Nice smooth taste not what i was expected..sweetish but not overwhelming..corn, slightly hoppy in the end.
Mouth feel is perfect for this style ..nice carbonation but light body.
OK lager for the summer

Can from ABV.

A clear straw yellow with a dense white head that falls off rapidly leaving little lacing, this looks good. The nose is crisp, clean, light but also surprisingly flavorful. I was half expecting something along the lines of a Sapporo or Asahi, but this is far better. Noticeably hoppy with lemon and earthy hops, a delicate , crisp, cracker like malt character. Just a touch of rice on the nose, maybe, and with the high carbonation, there's also a pleasant touch of seltzer like acidity. The palate opens ridiculously crisp and clean, snappy, on point and focused, with moderate bittering hops, a noticeable earthy and lemony flavor, and a delicate straw note. The rice addition here is so tastefully done that it's quite remarkable. It is able to dial down the flavors a notch, while avoiding making this taste or feel watery. Quite a high level of carbonation adds a nice acidity, complementing the hops well. Drying, bitter, crisp and flavorful, this is a great craft lager.
