Look: Bright yellow and straight-up murky with a sudsy white head that forms and quickly settles to a film, leaving nice lacing behind
Aroma: I could smell it on the pour. Ripe tangerines, kumquats, and pink grapefruit, diesel-heavy and fruity Cannabis, lemons, some skunky herb, and raw hop cones
Taste: Opens up with an array of awesomely rich and pungent citrus fruit that includes what I grabbed in the nose, only more amplified, and these quickly develop depth. Act two is a straight-up terpene bomb with boatloads of skunky, pungent, fruity, and vegetal Cannabis reminiscent of the odorous wafts of flowering plants and as they develop, begin to intermingle with the citrus through the close, which includes a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, slick, somewhat soft, medium-high carbonation, and lighter but definitely felt dryness on the finish
Overall: This is some awesomely delicious stuff. I typically avoid fresh hop hazies as they have never done it for me and even the few good ones I’ve had, since brewers began fresh-hopping them years ago, have always lacked good fresh hop character to me and were more like just really good and fresh hazies. This beer has changed my opinion of that as it’s outstanding and for me, has a ton of fresh hop goodness coming through. Definitely worth the 4pk purchase as I’ve enjoyed them all but take note, if Strata doesn’t do it for you, this beer may be too much as it’s a full-blown Strata bomb

2023. Can from Uptown Market.

Hazy yellow with a dense, off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is immediately a touch grassy but the hop aroma follows, rich, ripe, fruity, with passionfruit, papaya, and the rich Strata FH character, dripping with oils right behind. A mild oat like malt character is present. The palate opens with a rich juicy fruit character, strawberry, papaya, passionfruit, mild mango. The juicy, fresh hop Strata follows, lending a rich oil backbone. While initially a hair grassy, it quickly improves and cleans up nicely. Fruity, mild oats on the finish. Quite excellent.
