Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 2/10/26.

Appearance: medium yellow hue with a clear body and a nice effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy white foam.

Smell: grainy malt aroma with a bit of yeasty character; it’s kind of astringent, but in general not bad.

Taste: a little bit sweeter than the aroma, but with a similarly grainy, astringent malt. There’s a nice grassy noble hop character, though the bitterness kind of doesn’t play super well with the astringency.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and a big creaminess for the style.

Overall: a pretty decent pilsner, although the graininess could be, like, smoothed out a little bit.

a masterfully well refined slightly hoppier than normal german pils, very well crafted, drinkable, and appreciably high quality, ruse continues to impress me as often as i can get my lips on their liquid, which is nowhere near often enough for my liking, thankful to score this on tap. slightly richer color than many, past blonde into the brassy range, high shine with nice clarity and a fizzy white inch of head, peppy and popping. the nose on this is fresh and european, with neat minerality followed by biscuity grain character and bitter grassy hops that hit noble but somewhat intense as these go, way more from the hops in the flavor than the nose too, but it smells tidy and clean if slightly more substantial than others, white florals, toast, proofing dough yeastiness, obviously well lagered. the flavor has nice balance but is bold for the style, not that this is heavy or overengineered, its not, but its not just a crusher type pils either, some body, some sturdier malt, high minerality adding body too, and with some earlier onset bitterness, which i dont mind at all. springy and bright, crisp because of all the hops, which do not overpower this even though they stand out. lightly toasted to me, dried flowers, dehydrated lemon peel, clover, even jasmine. nice structure, clean for how flavorful it is, and somewhat unique in this space. no surprise this is awesome, ive liked all ive had from these guys. could drink this just about endlessly.
