Old and New World hops combine to produce a light fruit and floral character. This modern interpretation of a classic lager is biscuity and quaffable.
Certified gluten-free and suitable for vegans.
Ingredients: Water, Barley Malt, Maize, Hops., Yeast.

Why Helles? Because it's soft and pretty and its low-level of hops are as aromatic as they are bitter. Balanced. And great with lunch. Just like a Helles... gluten be damned for those who can't stand it.
Pretty in a Stella Artois glass, leaving lace for its length and foam gloating on a clear bod. (Sorry, no diaphanous dress.) Smells are more mute, but still pleasant. Taste is almost balanced, a bit more bitter in the finish. Mouth-feel is medium in this soft style.
Drank this next to another Gluten-free lager from Lowrise. No contest. Bellfield I'll have again. Lowrise not. I had both with lunch. Bellfield's made my sandwich better. Lowrise not.
founded by Celiacs, Bellfield has been producing gluten-free for 12 years and is ahead of much of the gluten-free market in quality, IMHO. Thinking of Celiacs as an underserved market for beer, Bellfield gets very good Overall Hugs from me. They also have a thoughtful website and cool-looking taproom. Slainte' !
