L: Hazy dark amber color, one finger off white head, quite messy lacing, light carbonation.
S: Hops, malts, yeast.

Fonias indicates the high-quality of Greece's micro-brewing. When I was here 7 years ago, I didn't even bother to look for a micro. Today, some are quite good and many are above the global average. Rapid growth.
Fonias Looks decent, but gets hazy as the bottom gets poured. Smells are mostly malt worked up a mild tree fruit. Tastes are the same, but the hops appear and play and never come on too strong. Well balanced. Refreshing in the mouth.
Samothakis is a small island in Greece's far north and east. Yet it has one quite recipe and a brewer who seems like they know what they are doing. It may be the water as they claim, but Fonias shows talent.
