Picked up a 500 ML bottle from the Appalachian Vintner 1-23-23 for $9.99. 2022 was the 5th Anniversary; consumed 2-7-24.
Beer poured golden with an okay white head.
Nose has notes of white wine, juicy fruit gum, and some berry.
Taste is a somewhat light malt base that gives way to a nice subtle Brett funk, white grapes and light peach. Finishes balanced with a kiss of funk.
Mouthfeel is medium to heavy bodied and kind of smooth. Not as light as hoped.
Overall a very tasty beer that did not quite meet the Belgian eye and feel test.

Crisp carbonation, fairly tart, yeast-forward. Barrel age provides some oak flavor, but not too much. As it warms up, it feels a bit chewy, and spice and peppercorn notes appear on the palette.
