L: Pours a brilliant copper orange with no lacing or no head a very nice looking beer.
S: The Brett hits the nose first, with lots of barnyard funk and a hint of fruit and some floral notes with malt in the background.
T: This beer has a very nice balance of tart and sour, mixed with a nice funky Brett and light floral note.
F: Tart and sour, lower carb, medium body.
O: This is an amazing Brett Saison.

i cant even make sense of the poor score from the other rater here, makes no sense to me at all, must be an individual who doesnt care for wild beer and didnt know what they were getting in to, no other way to explain that. i thought this was divine, a standout from a really fun and celebratory beer drinking session, and so cool that this was purchased in colorado, hope to see more from these guys hit the shelves! its a super funky and unique saison type base, spike with green tea, and super botanical and weird and herbal, tons of nuance here, and for all the tea beers i have had over the years, none have really brought the tea out this much in the flavor, especially a simple earthy green tea like this, it really is a cool base beer on which to showcase this ingredient, and its probably the best use of it i have known. one thing that i immediately like about this is that its much less overtly acidic than some of the others i have had from these guys, where a small pour is about all the stomach can take, this is much more drinkable, and i could have gladly consumed the whole bottle if it wasnt for the need to share. this leaves room for more of the bretty funk and possible saison yeast to come out, the has a mixed fermentation sort of profile to me, but i am unsure what all is actually in here doing the work, brett for sure, a mix of others likely, some neat green apple esters to it, a ton of fruity white wine, and an earthy dry, simple, raw wheaty base, perfect for the tea. the tea is obviously green tea for one, and its really pretty potent, dried and herbaceous in the nose, fresher tasting, floral, even medicinal in the taste, fresh grass, ragweed, pollen, elderflower, even some wood too. each sip brings new elements to the mix, everything from ripe kiwi to honey to dandelion, its springy and alive, farmy and old worldy, but also really dialed in from a technical standpoint. really fun stuff, among the best of theirs i have had, maybe the single best. not to be missed, as unique as anything!
