473ml bottle served cool into a pint glass. Purchased from the LCBO for about $3 CDN.
Appearance - hazy deep golden color. An impressive two fingers of loose white head that has better than expected staying power. No lacing.
Smell - earthy, but sweet and flowery nose. Belgian yeast, hints of lemon and pear. Pretty damn good for the style.
Taste - thin, but light and sweet. Some yeasty flavors, pear, with a hint of a lemon, metallic flavor. Not a strong flavor beer and doesn't quite live up the the aroma.
Mouthfeel - thinner body, lively carbonation and moderately dry finish.
Overall - a good if not great saison that is worth trying but drops off just slightly after the initial impressions. Still Symington Saison is a worthy first offering from another new Ontario craft brewery.

Hazy apricot colour, headless, laceless - mostly ordinary, but i love the colour. Typical saison aroma, yeast, wheat, orange, cloves, and other spice. Fruity, wheaty, yeasty to taste. A bit of sparkle on the tongue, some sweetness, then a touch of bitterness and metal. Not bad drinking, fairly light in character, probably worth at least a try.
