On cask @ The Referend Bier Blendery in Pennington, NJ.
Brewery description: "A blend of 4 month and 10.5 month fully spontaneously fermented Berliner-style weissbier hopped in the cask with fresh-off-the-bine Chinook whole cones from Laughing Hops on our little Reed Road."
Pale gold color with a slight haze and a small white head. Fresh hops hit you immediately in the nose. Lemon citrus, grapefruit, and pine in both the aroma and flavor. The tartness and sourness of the beer blends beautifully with the flavor. It's sharp and slightly acidic, but not overwhelmingly so. Light bodied and refreshing.
Great decision to serve this one on cask. It really gives it a great feel. By far the best beer of the day that I had at The Referend.
