This is an incredible american made lambic, wow. Violet tinted burnt orange with bubbles. The marriage of the grape and wine influences to the oak and funk is sublime in both smell and taste. Oak is very expressive in the nose especially, funk more so in the taste. Shots of vinegar, hay, minerals, and wild sour notes. Feel is very funky, sour, wild, yet lambic crisp. The funk and oaky vinous nature is what sets this over the top, great depth

21 June 2020 - Beer #125

Corona Day #101

Price: $27.00 at the brewery

Appearance: 4 - a beautiful pinkish orange. Head fizzled away immediately.

Nose: 4 - smells like wine, straight up. I like wine. I don't love wine.

Taste: 4 - super funky. Very sour, but incredibly funky.

Mouth: 4 - a bit thick, actually. These guys don't go heavy on the carbonation, so it's a bit flat, but it has nice texture.

Overall: 4 - first beer from these guys, and I'm eager to try more.

Stay safe out there, my friends.

Cheers!
