2018 vintage, bottled April 21, 2020, aged in apple brandy barrels, that should be fun
Pours a tiny head covering that fades almost instantly, no lacing, very clear honey golden color with a rosy hue

Nose brings decent golden sour funk, barnyard funk, souring bacteria, tart lemony and grape notes, as well as a bit of apple and apple brandy, buttery oak, hint of apple cider,

Taste starts with fair sourness, tart funk again that gets into an earthy cheesy funk, barnyard, tart lemony citrus and hay, grassy, a bit of apple cider and apple brandy as well especially late, interesting flash of honey in the middle with some buttery oak, little toasted oak as well, almost getting a hint of stone fruit, finishes very dry but flemmy acidic, with some bitterness and apple brandy as well as toasted wood bitterness

Mouth is med bod, higher frothy carb, bright acidity and flemmy finish

Overall not bad, I feel like it likely faded a bit with time in the bottle as the oak and brandy are there but not huge like I would have expected, base sour is pretty good, not a big fan of the weird bitter finish though

Note: splashing in the funk from the bottle adds more apple cider and a bit of a champagne character to the nose. Taste as a chewy like apple sauce and oaked chardonnay.
