A stovepipe purchased at the brewery release on 12/04/18. Poured in their signature 14oz. snifter.
Look- Pours a thin cola brown producing a few centimeters of light brown foam. It rapidly settles to a thin ring around the glass with no lacing present.
Smell- Rich hazel nut dark roast coffee, chocolate and cookie dough.
Taste- Cold pressed hazelnut coffee, dark roasted malt and chocolate.
Feel- Disappointingly thin for my palate.
Overall- Smells amazing, tastes very good, but the overall experience leaves me longing for something a little more decadent. A nice beer by a relatively young brewery that seems to keep improving. I'm hoping they kick it up a notch next time.
