Purchased at the brewery release on 12/08/18. Poured in their complimentary Level 3 can glass for the review.
Look- Pours a thin dark brown resembling root beer churning up a few centimeters of creamy mocha colored foam. It quickly settles to a lasting thin ring around the glass with no lacing present.
Smell- Cinnamon, coconut, chocolate cookie dough and a slight whiff of booze.
Taste- Cinnamon, dark cherry, coconut, vanilla, a dash of bourbon followed by oak in the finish.
Feel- A bit flat and thin.
Overall- A very good barrel aged adjunct stout with pleasant smell and taste. The feel is thinner than I prefer my stouts, but it is in no way a deal breaker. I like this one a little better than the Level 3 Luxardo Cherry and will purchase another on my next visit.
