Java Blanca is the second beer in our java series with our good friends and neighbors at Stone Creek Coffee. This coffee cream ale is full bodied and pleasantly sweet with a creamy mouth feel from the addition of oats to the mash. South American coffee beans, grown at high altitudes, add a sweet and acidic character to this beer along with strong coffee aromas and a subtle coffee bitterness in the finish.

Great coffee nose, clear golden color, light head. Light on the taste with coffee upfront and a slightly sweet finish. A good summer beer for people who like a coffee stout/porter but want something lighter in the hot weather.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours dark yellow orange with a small white head. Smells of coffee, strong and full. Tastes of creamy coffee, nice balance. Beer is medium bodied, but still easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

12oz, canned on 01-29-2020. Golden hued ale with a tall and creamy off-white head that nearly overflows the glass. Aroma is coffee and grain; almost a bit nutty like peanut butter, which is odd but I like it. Perfect amount of coffee in this one - more light roast flavors; biscuity grain, creamy lactose, modest earthy hops. Full and very creamy body, ample carbonation, sweeter finish with blond roast coffee notes lingering; the 7.3% is surprising for the style but works great with this one giving it the fuller body to go with the lactose. I really enjoyed this one - the body is more milk stout-like and the coffee addition is perfectly nailed. I should have bought more.

these coffee blonds freak me out. Nose and flavor is good, but the beers body and texture don't work for me with the coffee flavors. Maybe it's an eye sensory thing, but I just can't get into these.
