had this on tap at the iron horse hotel, but they just called it hazy ipa on their menu, same abv, i assume its the same one, and it seems like these guys at the iron horse dont bother with beer names, some real confusion generated, but i am pretty confident i have the right third space hazy here. if they have one without a name, someone let me know and we can add it here. its a nice brew, cool hop profile, both spicy and piney, also has some of that mid palate juiciness, but drinks a little heavy and unrefined to me, and was a one and done because i found it pretty filling, maybe better in something other than a shaker pint. very pale but also quite thick, frosted yellow looking, creamy headed, just enough carbonation to not look stagnant. the nose is bold, a little green, lemon and lemon curd, light spiciness, dank pine resin and christmas tree, some alcohol coming out too, some bite in that oversaturated realm, faint coconut. the flavor is mostly the same but its sort of marred by green character, could be some cashmere in here with this coconut and lemon and herbal verbena type character, but definitely a neat mix of hops, some citra evident too i think. i wish this were lighter, drier, and cleaner overall, its still yeasty, full of starch and protein it seems, and it sits heavy right away. i was hoping to make it to the brewery while i was there but we ran out of time, next time for sure. this is solid and distinctive but not totally dialed in...
