Appearance: Pours a mostly clear, pale golden orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of lemon citrus ,flower, grainy and yeasty bread malts. (3.75)
Flavor: Strong flavors of tart and bitter flower and lemon citrus with grain malt flavors. Tart and bitter lemon and flower off the end. (3.75)
Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Bitter off the finish. (4.00)
Compared to Surly Mozzafiato 3/2023: Pours similar, stronger aromas. More bitter lemon citrus. Less carbonation and soapy grains. More hoppy and citrusy.
Compared to Black Stack Fugazi 4/2023: Pours similar, similar aromas. More smooth bready yeast and malts. Less floral hops. Slightly smoother and sweeter.
Overall: A pretty nice Italian Pils here. Strong lemon citrus and bitter flower here. Even has a bite. Lots of hops here and spot on for an Italian Pils. Drinks nicely with a tart and bitter floral bite. Very enjoyable. (Rating: 3.78)
