Experience this with me as I iterate on multiple experiences with this beer:
Look: infinite wisdom an imperial IPA, It's golden in color, Not at all intimidating. It's hazy but doesn't look bitter, like that Tyrania - "Bitter Old Woman"
Aroma: aroma is present and pleasantly smells like citrus and pine, think: Cascade hops = pine
Simone hops = citrus,
orange, pineapple, even some strawberry if you can imagine
Poured into a glass develops additional aromas: Green grapes, oranges. A small amount of pine. Escape with this royalty --- He's calling her Imperial for a reason.
Mouth feel: while she is 9.0 % alcohol by volume, really doesn't bite. I mean she is bold from the start, yet comfortable not at all annoying like some of the West Coast boil hard and then a little dry, hopsters like to make them!
Appearance: gorgeous white head....
A golden yellow turning orange SRM 7 with a little cloudiness not quite 8.
A steady stream of small bubbles rising to the top supporting the head... Residual lacing prior to the first drink... Yes just as the head is coming down she leaves her mark. I'm seeing some Some suspended yeast very small particles... Look close you'll see.
Taste: I can taste the 9%. There's definitely some Sweetness there... Rather full body... The malt profile does not jump out... But it's clearly contributing... And there's clearly yeast back in the background... But it's rather indistinct... Not real estery, but you know it's yeast.
Overall: with the alcohol, it feels just a little a little bit winey, Not to complain but in a kind of cute and a good way.
Later there's that strawberry note and maybe a little cedar ... and then maybe some sweet cherry... Yes, the piney hop turns into cedar, drifting to sweet cherry and berry. I had another encounter with her and yes there it is again.
Feel: As the alcohol warms the palet there's an enhancing... Bitter sweet combination mid pallet. This is a full medium body leaning Just a little towards full... With a balanced bitterness, and a lingering sweetness that make this one very contemplatable
Overall:
This is well done... It brings a number of layers.... Acidic citrus leads... A warming sweetness develops... Think berries and sweet fruit... Bitter hop layer ends and repeats... The alcohol enhances the experience... And helps to slow... the experience... This is not one for a hot summer day or if you're thirsty... Rather... Have this one for A cold winter night or a chilly summer evening... and get comfortable with it.
Overall:
Mmmh delicious!

12oz, canned on 02-11-2025
L: hazy yellow body with a frothy eggshell head that holds great retention
S: mild citrus, pine, and tropical fruit
T: pineapple, pithy citrus, pine, biscuity grain
F: fuller body, ample carbonation; tart, zesty, and modestly bitter finish
O: even at 9% I found this to be a refreshing and flavorful DIPA

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours orange yellow with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus hops. Tastes of citrus and piney hops with earthy notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.
