Appearance: Pours a completely clear, light golden color with a strong white head that lingers. SRM of 5-6. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, tropical fruit, stonefruit, and pine. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, tropical fruit, some stonefruit and pine. A rather strong bitterness off the end along with sweetness. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied. Lingering pine and bitterness. Clean as well. (4.25)
Compared to Surly Abrasive 11/25: Pours lighter, stronger aromas. More orange citrus, stonefruit. Less bitter caramel, pinecone, and pine.
Overall: Orange, with a strong pine bitterness in here. Also balanced by some sweetness at 8.2%. Clean enough. Leans a little West-Coast. This is outstanding in my opinion. (Rating: 4.08)
