Poured from 16 oz can into a glass tulip. 01/16/18 #craftsublime on bottom of the can.
A: Minimally hazy golden with 1-finger of off-white foamy head with average retention but substantial lacing.
S: Very nectarlike aroma profile overall with strong grapefruit, pineapple, guava, lime, and passionfruit coming through with a light pale malt cracker-slightly sweet cookie background.
T: Flavor is exceptional with cannon blasts of citrus (grapefruit, pineapple, and lime), melon, floral, and tropical fruit (guava, passionfruit) balanced subtly with a slightly sweet, cookieish pale maltiness which works well with the fruity bitterness, which is moderate.
M: Light on the palate with moderate carbonation and slightly sticky feel but a dry finish with no astringency or grassiness.
O: Very impressive beer from Basic City. Really a cohesive well made DIPA in all areas. Easily the best IPA I have had this month by a long shot. I will be seeking out more fresh Basic City offerings.

Really impressive IPA. Not quite a haze/juice bomb, but excellent citrus notes. Nice bitterness and finishes very dry. I don't think this is quite as juicy as Bask, but it's equally impressive. I love how these Basic City IPAs maintain the fruity, juiciness of a NE IPA, with an appropriate amount of bitterness, to tone down the cloying sweetness that we often see with this style.

Pours a cloudy dark yellow color with a thick, white head about three fingers wide that clings nicely to the glass on the way down. Smells of grapefruit pith, tangerines, and dank. Taste is a little bitter at first, fades to a nice level of bitterness. Oranges, a hint of pine, hint of pink grapefruit. Soft, medium body, with a slight lingering bitterness and citrus note. Very nice NEIPA, solid, easy to drink, citrus flavors but not a total juice bomb. Good stuff.
