Fresh canning but no legible date.
Hazy golden with 1-finger off-white frothy but short-lived Head with a thin ring of lacing.
Aroma is very strong in the hop Dept with peach, mango, grapefruit and pine. Malt aroma is minimal and just a hint of pils malt sweetness.
Flavor is hop-forward as expected with strong mango, grapefruit, and peach-apricot aromas, touch of grassiness, and pine with a bit of resin. Maltiness provides a solid backdrop with supporting grain with minimal sweetness. Bitterness is moderate. Alcohol presence is hidden.
Feel is solid, soft and a bit oily thick for my taste but solid for the style.
Basic City keeps hitting great notes, demonstrating they can stay classic with the hops yet still remaining true to the NEIPA style with great aroma and flavor. This beer continues to expand the range of hip flavor in their beer. One of the most interesting breweries in VA if you are a NEIPA fan.
