No decipherable canned on date. Poured into a Chimay chalice.
A: Clear golden hue with 1/2-finger of white head with low retention and few dots of lacing.
S: Bready, slightly doughy pils maltiness with some spicy yeast esters
T: Flavor is exceptionally smooth and satisfying with delicious bready, crackery pils maltiness, spicy, floral noble hop notes, and spicy, peppery yeast esters. Classic flavor for the style. Alcohol is well-hidden.
M: Very smooth and drinkable with medium, even carbonation and good balance of body and drinkability. I do wish it was a tad drier but it does well enough all in all.
O: A very impressive Belgian tripel from BC -- this was eminently drinkable despite 8% and had everything I was looking for in a tripel -- intense pils maltiness and spicy noble hopping and yeast esters.
