Grin's Casket - Silverback Rye Whiskey Barrel

Pours a near black color with about a finger of tan head that fades to some lacing. Smell is chocolate, whiskey, roasted malts. Taste is rye whiskey up front, semi-dark chocolate, a little roasted malt hint, vanilla hints, note of hop bitterness. Medium heavy, slight note of alcohol burn but not in a bad way towards the end. The barrel feels like it is the dominant flavor in this, more rye whiskey flavors than many BA beers. Still, that's not necessarily a bad thing as the beer is a nice compliment to the whiskey so if you're looking for something more barrel forward this may be what you want.
