Hop Tropikos is our experimental IPA series. This is number 005. Brewed mostly with Summer hops & balanced out with Amarillo
hops. This summer IPA is Golden & Hazy with subtle tropical fruit and a dry bitter finish. Sun tanning is encouraged!
Notes: Cantaloupe, Pineapple & dry melon rind.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. No canning date.
Hazy peach hue with 1-2 finger frothy off-white head wirhbgood retention and solid lacing.
Aroma is lacking in intensity, mostly guava and pineapple with a floral note.
Flavor is also subdued with more mango and peach with pineapple. Intensity is below Basic City's usual bar, about 5/10.
Feel is very soft and juice-like with no astringent character.
Disappointing effort from Basic City - lacking intensity on most fronts.
