2018 vintage — canned on 121818. Poured into a glass mug.
Copper hue with short-lived oatmeal colored 1/2 finger head which dissipates quickly but leaves some lacing. Floaters in the beer detract.
Huge Munich malty aroma with toast and light plum notes.
Delicious beer that hides its strength really well. Lots of dark bread, bread crust, toast, and light sweet alcohol note that is not hot or out of place. Low bitterness. No esters.
Does a great job of being hugely flavorful but very drinkable with lowish carbonation, full body, but reasonably dry finish for the heft.
Well done “big boy lager” by Basic City. I hope they bring this back every now and then as it is a great display of their brewing prowess.
