A hazy, juicy IPA made with Cashmere and Idaho 7 hops as well as the best Cascade on earth. We brewed this beer in celebration of Ground Control's 10th Anniversary and bottled it just for them.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: 8-oz. hotel Styrofoam cup
Price: $15.96 for a 4-pack
From: Taste of Tops in Tempe, Ariz.
Purchased: May 18, 2022
Consumed: May 19, 2022
Misc.: No canned on date
Grabbed a 4-pack of this at Taste of Tops after drinking some of the beers there first (think KnB Wine Cellars). Untappd description called for “A hazy, juicy IPA made with Cashmere and Idaho 7 hops as well as the best Cascade on earth. We brewed this beer in celebration of Ground Control's 10th Anniversary and bottled it just for them.”
Tough to see because of the Styrofoam, but appeared to be four fingers of rocky white head. Perfect uneven foamy lacing. Perfect uneven foamy retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled grapefruit, Idaho 7, Cashmere, Cascade, Citra (not mentioned), viney berry, melon, lemon zest, herbal and earthy malt. About as good from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted much worse than the nose. Just a big let down. Thought it might have been from drinking from the Styrofoam cup, but tied it from the can and same result. Got Idaho 7, viney berry, herbal, black pepper, Cascade, Cashmere, melon, lemon zest, grapefruit, earthy malt, bitter aspirin, grass and Vic Secret (not mentioned). (Taste - 3.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Just didn’t care for this one that much. Good I guess, but no need to have again. NOTE: My formula says I underrated this. (Overall - 3.50)

Slightly cloudy dark orange body, short white head, strong fruit nose, mostly citrus but with mango and peach highlights. Flavor is delicious, following nose. Mild bitter bite in the close. Superb.

Picked up a 16 oz mason jar draft from the Craft Beer Hop Stop earlier today for $3.50. Packaged right around New Years Day.
Beer poured orange with a pretty good white head with the original pour.
Nose is extremely fragrant with orange and mango, very nice!
Taste is a medium sized pale malt base that combines nicely with orange, grapefruit, and mango. Finishes with a nice dose of citrus pulp; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth but refreshing.
Overall another really nice recipe from TBC. Glad i was finally able to enjoy! Limited cans in Phoenix, mostly on draft at better beer stores.

Pours a super hazy, “juicy” orange color. Pure orange juice. Tons of lacing and fluffy head.
Aroma is of grapefruit, tropical fruits, and a little pine. Not solely east coast in aroma, as a nice undertone of west coast bite is still there.
Taste is creamy and almost thick. The beer tastes a lot like the nose. A balance between grapefruit pith bitterness with tropical fruit. Lingering bitter bite at the finish. Just an overall good beer.
Overall, I enjoyed this beer immensely. However, I do think there may be too much bitterness for such a soft mouthfeel and initial taste. It’s not as rounded as it could be. This paired great with straight up pizza, but a nicely seared white fish would work great. It gets a 92/100.

Pours a very hazy orange with a white head. Smells of orange juice, citrus, and malt. Tastes of non bitter hops, orange juice, grapefruit zest, grass, and malt. Medium creamy body with medium carbonation. Overall a very good NEIPA.

Doopie brought this one to beer night recently. Cheers!
From a bomber into a snifter
Brewed for Ground Control’s 10th Anniversary
APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, medium looking, creamy white head with good retention. Cloudy amber orange with no carbonation evident. Head recedes to a good wisp and clings to the sides of the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Passion fruit, mango, pineapple, and some citrus aromas. Notes of caramel as well. A bit grassy, but slightly mild overall.
TASTE: Caramel and grassy hop flavors up front. Milder finish with some decent flavors of passion fruit, tropical flavors of pineapple, mango and melon notes. A touch of sweet caramel as well. Some grassy bitterness lingers on the palate.
PALATE: Medium body and higher levels of carbonation. Foamy on the palate, goes down fine and finishes a bit dry on the palate.
OVERALL: This one is a little lifeless, unfortunately. The nose is alright, but the flavor lacks that big fruit cocktail punch in the face this style has become so well known for. The elements are there but they’re mild and somewhat muddled by the grassy character. A little too foamy for the style as well. Thanks again for sharing, doops!
