Canned 11/15/18
Pours a nice creamy thicker 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, bit of lacing, somewhat clear but lots of sediment golden pilsner color
Nose interesting hops, floral grassy a little fruity, some cascadian notes, a hint of grainy malt
Taste mild sweet malt, grainy like, hops bring medium to lighter bitterness with more floral like characters, a little grassy and fruity, not much else going on, perhaps the age but seems fairly bland in general.
Mouth is med bod, decent medium carb, just a hint of warming alcohol
Overall basic old school IPA, nothing special, nothing really wrong just boring

Decent starting which never completely subsides. Lots of nice ring lace on the glass. Cloudy, amber color.
Good pale malt base at the start of the smell. The hop is also strong and warming--quite floral.
The taste is very hop-centric. Yes, the malt is present, but it's so brief as to almost not count. Decent body with a bit of muted carbonation. Lip-smacking

16 oz can from Hillside W&S. Not so impressed at first but after sipping it a long while I'm happy with it. Nothing to add to the Bros' review. The kind of beer I'd trust for cooking, and I'm serious about that. The flavor may feel peculiar, feels smoky and I'm thinking Serrano peppers as a comparison, but consider this outfit faces potent local competition from the likes of Slumbrew and Night Shift to name just two. Good job creating a distinctive brew.

Can from Colonial Spirits.
Slightly hazy light golden color with a frothy off white head that persists. Bready caramel with bits of earthy citrus and pine on the nose. Caramel and toffee maltiness with a bit of a bite and some earthy resinous pine and light citrus flavor. Moderate level of bitterness. Somewhat malty for an IPA these days but not horrible.

16oz tallboy, sample from a friend.
Nearly clear golden amber hue, nice drop of lacing on the glass from a brew that showed off three fingers of froth. A slightly juicy, piney, minty, and resin-like IPA. Smooth with a bit of body, cracker-like maltiness shows a decent malt backbone. A little peppery in the bitterness with a warming alcohol in the middle. Hop flavor lingers for a good while, fruity esters give off suggestions of pineapple skin and rose water. Finishes semi-dry with a mild bitterness.

This new addition to Medford Brewing is full bodied, with a dark caramel color and intensely satisfying hoppy flavor. Incredibly smooth feel and very satisfying. This is a really good and true American IPA.
