Received in a trade. Pours a brown-ish maple syrup color with a gravelly head. Nice malty aroma. Roasted dark malt bready flavor. Moderate mouthfeel with a dry finish. Overall, solid.

12oz can served in a snulip. Can is dated 11/28/23. Got it from @Mr3dPHD.
Pours mostly clear reddish-amber with a small head that leaves behind a ghostly dusting. Moderate to light carbonation. Smell is light cocoa, moderate citrus-and-pine hops, a little grainy sweetness.
Taste leans into the hoppiness. Cocoa transforms into a lightly toasted nuttiness, citrus and pine get a little more pronounced, sweetness takes on more of a honeysuckle character. Bitter finish accentuated by the sweetness.
Mouthfeel is light and pretty clean. Overall, this is pretty nice.

Look: Slightly hazy light brown. Half a finger of off-white head that quickly dissipates.
Smell: Soapy hops and slightly sweet malt. Like sniffing shower gel.
Taste: Soapy, bitter hops over all else. Like I tipped a shampoo bottle in my mouth.
Mouthfeel: Slightly thin, highly carbonated.
Overall: An unbalanced, sudsy beer.

On tap at the Brix brewery taproom.
Clear red-copper colored body with a creamy, off-white head. Nice lacing.
This is a hoppy Irish Red, particularly in the aroma, with moderate bitterness for style. Reasonably clean but not exceptional.
Feel: Medium body and medium carbonation.

Pours up to a generous beige head that laces and lasts. Deep amber. Aroma is hoppy, bordering on red IPA territory with strong pale and caramel malts. Flavor is balanced and delicious wirh caramel malts bordering on roasty. MF is nominal. This is cut in the mold of today's amber red ales. Much like Oklahoma's Coop Native Amber. Damn good for what it is.

A local brewery for me, the closest one to my home and as such I consider it my "home" brewer. That said, I've had much better offerings than this at the "hardware store" and restaurant locations...
A deeply dark-red brew living up to is name, it pours a nice tannish-reddish head that has some staying power and a tad of lacing down the pint glass. The smell is about as mundane for a red ale, nothing stands out but it's still good to the nose. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, a little astringent on the tongue, and it holds up well as it warms. The taste is more hoppy than I prefer from a red ale with a very dry finish that was quite surprising - not bad. Though others may find this to be an exceptional brew, I know Playlinda can do better and in fact they do, very much so.
