This is a very god, flavourful ESB, but a bit on the sweet, alcoholic and heavy side.
Copper amber, on tap it has a small pale tan head that diminishes very slowly to a foamy ring.
Aroma is toasty, caramelly barley malt with light leafy-spicey hop.
Taste is a very full-bodied caramelly-sweet toasted malt with noticeable, but smooth, lightly raisiny alcoholic character and light fruitiness and light earthy-leafy hop bitterness that does not quite balance.
It has full body, plenty of flavour, and noticeable malt and hop, yet tends to be a little on the sweet side and slightly heavy for ESBs. However, its character is good and it is very enjoyable.
