It’s a murkshake appearance. Very bright golden yellow with billowing white head. Aroma is fantastic. Big grapefruit, melon, pineapple and it radiates from the glass. Taste follows, but is accompanied by A huge grassy hop bite. Mouthfeel is where i was expecting this to shine, with the addition of the cookies. I expected this to be similar to other half’s oaty mouthfeel, however I was very wrong. It’s very grainy, prickly, like I am swallowing actual parts of the cookies that I didn’t chew very well. The thickness is great, a little more than medium. Overall I’m in love with the aroma and the taste, but the mouthfeel detracts from the experience.

This one is pretty wild - though I hesitate to say hog wild like a rabid, Texan boar in heat. Still, it’s wild and good.

Right when I cracked the can I was met by vibrant, juicy, and tropical aromas like when things were still good between you and your wife when you went to Tahiti on your 2nd anniversary. Then after I sniff, I sip... And woo doggy! Massive, I mean massive sugar plum fairies meet California citrus orange like the last time your grandmama went on vacation to Hollywood.

All said, unfortunately for the Raul man, I don’t really detect any oatmeal cookies, Madagascar vanilla, or maple syrup. Still, the lactose brings a gorgeous, and damn near perfect lush backbone like Shamu catching air in her prime.

Overall, this bad boi is just a yep and yep! from Raul.

On draught at The Brick Farm Tavern. It was served in a snulip glass. It pours a turbid, amber apricot color with a large, fluffy eggnog-colored head and soapy lacing. The smell is an intriguing combination of vanilla cream, citrus, and lite floral hops. The taste certainly simulates cookies. There is vanilla cream, honey, and granola up front with subtle citrus and hops that provide minimal bitterness. This is a beer that should warm in the glass. As it does, the flavors really open up. The feel is thick and creamy with moderate carbonation, and you can feel the 9.5% ABV. Overall, while I'm not a big fan of beers that simulate desserts, this one is nicely done. It's a little sweet for my taste but makes a nice Summer dessert beer.
