On draught at Brick Farm Tavern. Served in a snulip glass. It pours an opaque, pale pastel yellow with a creamy, eggshell-colored cap and soapy lacing. Its fragrant nose includes orange zest, lemon, grapefruit, and vanilla. It's delicious! The taste opens with bright orange and creamy vanilla which initially gives it an understated creamsicle quality. But the initial sweetness is quickly balanced by a strong does of bitter hops that bite hard. As the glass warms there is a peppery astringency at the finish. It's the complete taste package. The mouth feel is plush and creamy with an appropriate level of carbonation; and the 8.9% ABV gives it a nice pop. Overall, this is a delicious hoppy ale with lots of flavor. If it were more widely available, it would be celebrated. It paired perfectly with a beef burger and fried egg.
