Canned 5 days ago.
L — Intensely opaque, milky, turbid yellow/tan body with a scant finger of off-white head produced with moderate pour. Minimal retention but good lacing. The carb seems quite low on this one, maybe because of the crowler-style canning. I swear the glass feels noticeably heavier than most beers just because of all the hop particulate in suspension
S — Mango, guava, papaya, grapefruit sorbet, peppermint, white grape, white peach, and a noticeable gristy/biscuity character from the pale malt profile. It’s your standard, well-executed NEIPA aroma but turned up a notch
T — 5 days after canning and 2 days unrefrigerated in transit and this is still tasting very green. Getting a decent amount of unripe pineapple, orange pith, juicy fruit bubblegum, but also a decent amount of spicy/bitter hop burn. Not sure what to make of this
F — You can really feel the grittiness of the hop particulate. Even thicker than Fidens
O — Fun to finally try something from these guys after seeing them pop up all the time in raffles for ridiculous secondary valuations for hoppy beer (currently $60-$80 for a 32oz crowler). Definitely not worth that markup, but it’s fun to try something of this intensity that still has a certain “soul” to it, unlike the overhopped messes that other prominent NEIPA brewers have put out

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
