L: Had this beer on-tap at Brewmasters, poured into a pint glass. Had a brownish color and a hazy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Pretty good lacing.
S: A decent, interesting aroma of malt, an herbal quality and berries.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of wheat (not as much as I would have thought), a light yeast, lots of malt, some dark berries, and the aforementioned herbal quality. An interesting, light flavor that reminds me of the Finnish Sahti. Not an overly complex taste, but it holds your attention.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Light- to medium-bodied.
O: I didn't really have a frame of reference for the kvass style - nothing to compare it to. It's a fascinating Old World style that's worth a look.
