L: On the darker side of brown brown, but shot through with ruby and mahogany in the light; it grows a solid mocha-colored head that displays moderately good head retention and lacing
S: Dark malt aromas shows a lightly burnt quality with notes of barley as well as caramel and chocolate with nice toastiness; Hops balance with earth and just enough floral notes to balance
T: Malts and accompanying roasty / coffee flavors are allowed to shine with a backbone of hops to support it; a little toffee comes into aforementioned sweetness, and it has a hint of smokiness
F: Neither too thick nor too thin, it's a porter that doesn't try to be something else; semi-dry all the way through; the medium-full body rests on a gentle carbonation
O: This is my favorite porter in Toledo, no frills and just really well done
