Coffee stouts by themselves are pretty amazing, so we took one brewed with chocolate and locally-roasted beans from Actual Coffee and put it in a 9 Elijah Craig bourbon barrel. After aging, we carefully blended this beer with milk sugar and vanilla to balance out the roast and acid notes. The final beer may initially remind you of a trip to your local coffee shop on a cold morning, but as it warms, the Bourbon and stout character take charge.
