Pours a hazy, pale orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of doughy wheat malt and bright, hoppy notes of white grape, gooseberry, grapefruit and lime peel, Taste is a great balance of light, doughy, wheaty malt and fruity hop notes of lightly acidic white grape and gooseberry as well as quite zesty grapefruit and lime peel, with just a hint of herbal dankness coming through in the aftertaste. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some white grape, lime peel and dankness lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A great Wheat IPA that showcases the Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc hops quite nicely, with distinct, lightly acidic white grape and gooseberry notes, as well as lighter, zesty citrus notes from the Citra hops. The wheat part may not show as much, apart from some doughy malt, but this nevertheless makes for a rather enjoyable and refreshing brew.
