Pours a pitch-black coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of roasted, slightly caramelly malt and lighter coffee and tobacco notes, with the additives really not coming through all that much. Taste is a good balance of roasted, slightly caramelly malt, coffee, licorice and significantly lighter notes of orange zest, cinnamon and lactose, with just a hint of herbal hops as well. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some roasted malt, coffee and licorice lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium boidy and carbonation.
While the additives really don't come through here all that much, I don't necessarily view that as a bad thing, as this has got quite a nice roasted, bitter character going on that is enhanced by some coffee and licorice as well as some much lighter cinnamon and orange zest notes adding a subtle complexity to this.

Bottle at Coriasso's. Pours a black colour, big beige head with medium retention, irregular lacing.
Aroma of chocolate, coffee, dried fruits, cinnamon, tangerines.
Medium body, creamy texture, good carbonation. Roasted finish
Taste follows the aroma, but drier.
Good, creamy, easy drinking.
