Pours a deep, dark brown coloration with a large, but quickly fading, frothy head. Smell is dominated by chocolate aromas, with some light roasted coffee and berry tartness coming through as well. Taste is the opposite of the nose, with the chocolate and coffee notes being a lot more subdued, but with a stronger acidity and lighter tart berry notes and salt. Finishes with a medium tartness and a bit more saltiness coming through in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Maybe it's because this bottle is a little old, but I really didn't get a lot of chocolate/coffee flavor from this, even though the aroma is there. Still a nice Gose with a good tartness, light saltiness and mild berry flavor as well as just a hint of chocolate/coffee.
