L: Jet black color, no head or lacing to speak of, no carbonation either. Motor oil!

An excellent rum barrel-aged stout, poured from a waxed 330 mL bottle. Dark brown and thick in appearance, with a nice layer of cocoa-colored head clinging to the rim of the glass. "Dekadent" fits as a descriptor, with a rich, chocolatey aroma joined by substantial boozy rum spice. The spice accents the redolence of the base stout on the palate, not overwhelming but a clear presence. Moderate barrel oak as well. Dark chocolate, malted milk balls, raisins, a bit of plum or black cherry. Full-bodied and smooth.
