Beautiful deep ruby coloured sour beer bursting with juicy beetroot, quince sourness and sea salt minerality. This mindblowingly beautiful beer tastes as good as it looks. The beets offer a juicy and fruity character balanced by the astringency and sour punch of the quince, finally the sea salt minerality ties the flavours all together.

Pours a cloudy, deep, dark purple coloration with a medium, fluffy pink head. Smells of doughy malt and a distinct quince note, as well as hints of beetroot and sea salt. Taste follows the nose, with a great balance of light doughy malt, quince and beetroot, with the beetroot coming out a bit more on the tongue than in the nose, as well as hints of sea salt and a good, underlying lactic acidity. Finishes with a light/medium acidity and some quince and beetroot lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
Even though I'm not really a huge fan of beetroot at all, I still found this rather enjoyable due to the beetroot not feeling overpowering and actually working quite well with the quince, despite this seeming like an odd combination to me at first. The good acidity and hints of sea salt do the rest, making for a quite refreshing and easy-drinkin summer beer that is perfect for the current temperatures while featuring a rather interesting flavor profile.

33cl bottle, 9m to bb.
Deep ruby red, lighter than beetroot, but a very intense red. Foam matches in colour. The visual intensity is not matched by the aroma, which is quite standard gose type. There are rounded notes to it, telling of the flavouring ingredients of beetroot and quince (besides the style-obligatory salt). Head sticks for a while but eventually disappears.
Taste is balanced and smooth, and the rounded notes from the aroma now reveal themselves more clearly and identifiably after the middle stage of taste. Yet, everything is so harmonious that you do not think in terms of ingredients. A soft yet refreshing substyle of gose emerges. Well done
