Copenhagen 17/9 2021. 33 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Peasants collecting hay but they have replaced the horse with a Zebra.
Pours opaque, hazy, milky pale yellow with a big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as uneven, lumpy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with sweet, odor of tropical fruits mingling with a sour scent of citrus fruit. Peach and ripe pear. Hints of mango. Citrus and lime. A bit of pine.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is a little thin. Bitter. Finish is dry.
A bit thin in flavor but refreshing NEIPA. I wonder how they managed to tame the Zebra.

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a small, frothy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit and mango, as well as some earthy/herbal accents. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and earthy, herbal hops, with citrus and tropical notes of grapefruit, mango and papaya, as well as just a hint of mint. Finishes with a light bitterness and hop burn, as well as some grapefruit, mango and mint lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A rather nice New England Pale Ale with a good balance of fruity, juicy and earthy, herbal hops, as well as a great body and mouthfeel for the ABV. I think it's interesting how you sometimes get rather strong coconut notes from Sabro and sometimes not at all, like here. Instead, the more herbal and earthy side of it seems to come out a bit more, with some minty accents and perhaps even a hint of cedar wood.
